How It Started

PikoColoring started with a messy kitchen table, a box of worn-out crayons, and a four-year-old who wanted to color a butterfly — "but not a boring one, Mina, a pretty one."

That was me, sitting on the floor with my niece, scrolling through coloring pages online and finding nothing that felt right. Either the images were too simple, too cluttered, or locked behind a paywall. So I started making my own.

What began as a weekend hobby slowly turned into something bigger. Friends asked for copies. Then their kids' teachers asked. Then I thought — why not just put them online for everyone? That's how PikoColoring was born.

A Little About Me

My name is Mina Yancı Ibis. I grew up surrounded by art — my grandmother used to draw animals on napkins for me at lunch, and I've carried that love for drawing ever since, even though my day job is something completely different.

I'm not a professional illustrator. I'm not a teacher. I'm just someone who genuinely enjoys creating things that make kids smile — and who happens to have learned how to use digital tools to bring those ideas to life.

Every coloring page on this site goes through a process I've refined over months of trial and error. I design each concept thinking about what would actually interest a child — not what looks good on a stock photo website. A bee wearing sunglasses? A dinosaur holding a balloon? These ideas come from real conversations with real kids.

Why I Keep Everything Free

Here's the thing. I know what it's like to search for free printables and end up on a site that wants your email, your credit card, or your firstborn before letting you download a single PDF. That's not me. That will never be me.

Every coloring page on PikoColoring is free. No sign-ups. No tricks. No "free for 7 days then we charge you" nonsense. You click, you download, your kid colors. That's it.

I pay for the hosting, the tools, and the time myself — because I believe creative resources for children should be accessible to every family, every classroom, and every library, regardless of budget.

What You'll Find Here

I try to cover a wide range of themes. Animals, holidays, fantasy characters, educational subjects — if kids are interested in it, I'm probably working on a coloring pack for it. We've got packs for Thanksgiving turkeys, Fourth of July fireworks, Valentine's Day cards, and everything in between. Each collection includes different difficulty levels so there's something for toddlers with chunky crayons and older kids (or adults) who prefer detailed, intricate designs.

All pages are formatted as high-quality PDFs designed to print cleanly on US Letter-size paper (8.5" × 11") using any standard home printer. I test every single page on my own printer before publishing — because if it doesn't look good on paper, what's the point?
